El Arbol de Navidad

This pack comes with 6 Spanish printable pages that you can use with your kiddo! The first two pages are decorating a Christmas scene.

You can use the first page with the Christmas tree to be your base page or you can cut out the tree and glue it on a separate piece of construction paper. My daughter preferred to cut hers out and glue it on a separate sheet of paper that was sturdier and gave her more space to add the decorations.

The second page includes ornaments, presents, decorations and candy canes that you can color, cut and glue around your Christmas tree to create an awesome scene!

All of the instructions on the pages are written in Spanish.

When you’re learning a new language, listening to music can be a great way to increase your language input time. There are several Spanish Christmas songs that are great for supporting your work with Christmas vocabulary and will get you in the holiday spirit! Here are some of our family favorites that we’ve enjoyed:

Little Baby Bum: This is a great source for Spanish nursery rhymes and translated songs in Spanish. These songs are found on Amazon Music, YouTube and the web just by searching for their website. Most of these songs are geared towards younger kiddos and some have little videos that go along with them. These are our favorite Navidad songs that they have:

Feliz Navidad a Todos – Little Baby Bum

Ya Llego la Navidad – Little Baby Bum

Canción de Navidad – Little Baby Bum

Amazon Music– We subscribe to Amazon Music and get most of our Spanish music from there. It’s easy to search and find great Spanish songs and put them in a playlist to listen to at home or on the go. Here are a few of our favorites that we have on our current “Navidad” playlist:

Feliz Navidad – Jose Feliciano

Blanca Navidad – Lupita Infante

Campana Sobre Campana – Yuri

Los Peces en el Rio – RBD Navidad

Ven a Cantar – Mijares

Villancicios– When you’re looking on the web for great Spanish Christmas songs, you should also search for “Villancicos”. Many Spanish Christmas albums are labeled under this term and some translate it to mean, “Christmas Carols” in Spanish.

Reading in Spanish is a great way to include Spanish comprehensible input into your day. There are so many great Spanish books that talk about Navidad in Spanish. Some of these works are more traditional Spanish Christmas stories and others are translations of popular English Christmas stories. All of these books are ones that our family enjoys.

This is our favorite Spanish Christmas book! It tells about Christmas Eve for a family in Mexico and the pages rhyme.

A super cute pop up book that talks about the celebration of the 3 kings: los reyes magos.

This is a Mexican tale about the legend of the Poinsettia.

This is a translated version of the famous poem by Clement C Moore. The Spanish version also rhymes and goes through the classic tale.

This isn’t the exact version that we have, but it’s a classic! The Spanish edition of “The Nutcracker” is a great holiday read.

This has become one of my daughter’s favorite holiday stories! The translated version is good and the illustrations are original.

This is a really cute Scholastic series that we enjoy. There are several other books in the series that include various other holidays like Valentine’s Day and Halloween.

We have to read this classic every year! I like how the translation keeps the feel and rhyme of the original version.

This is another holiday favorite that we read before we build our own gingerbread house. The illustrations by Barbara McClintock make this version a real win.
