How To Use Choice Boards To Mainstream Your Spanish

Are you at home during the COVID-19 crisis?? Most families are staying safe at home while social distancing due to the current pandemic.

Working full time, parenting and teaching your kiddos at home can be overwhelming to say the least.

And yet most parents right now find themselves in the midst of some form of ‘crisis learning’.

While you’re stuck at home during the quarantine, carve out some time to learn or practice Spanish with your kiddos!

One way that you can take the stress out of language learning is to use some sort of choice board.

A choice board has several boxes with Spanish activities inside and you or your child pick one to do each day.

Studies show that working on Spanish skills for an hour each day is one of the best ways to become fluent.

You can change it out each week or keep the same activities each week to target certain skills.

The most important thing is that you try and get in some Spanish learning each day!

I created a basic choice board that you can use as a free resource. It gives some simple ideas for activities that you can do with your kids to work on their Spanish skills – even if you’re a non-native speaker or just learning yourself!

In order to boost your Spanish language time, it’s important to hear and engage with as much Spanish language as possible. Here are some great resources that are categorized by age:
