(Last Updated On: September 25, 2022)

Talking about yourself in Spanish is one of the most important ways to help you learn the Spanish language. Using “Todo Sobre Mi” activities, you can work on vocabulary for colors, numbers, descriptors, hobbies and so much more!

I’m always looking for ways to incorporate Spanish reading and writing into my daughter’s day so that I can keep up with her Spanish literacy. I created these “Todo Sobre Mi” (All About Me) resources in Spanish, to give her some extra practice.

In this article I’ll share how you can use an All About Me activity to help boost your child’s Spanish and I’ll share some of the ones that I created for my daughter.

Benefit of using All About Me activities

All About Me activities are great to use in the classroom and at home. There are many reasons why these kinds of activities can be beneficial for kids and for language learning in general.

One of the main reasons to create a “Todo Sobre Mi” poster is to allow your child to express their interests and practice talking about themselves. It helps children to reflect on themselves, their experiences and what makes them happy. It also gives them a simple format in which to communicate those ideas.

“All About Me” projects also help to create community. When you’re working on these activities in a group of kids or in a classroom, it allows children to see how they connect to others and what similarities and differences they have.

In our home, these “Todo Sobre Me” activities were fun to do as a family because we got to share what we liked. We also got to practice reading and writing in Spanish and then telling about our posters in Spanish, so it was a fully immersive practice!

“Todo Sobre Mi” Activities

I created 5 different “Todo Sobre Mi” activities to go with different interest levels, ability levels and styles. When we did them at home, my daughter and I each picked the activity that was most interesting to us. Then we filled them out and shared them.

I hope that these are able to help you in your home or school!

Todo Sobre Mi Banner

This was my daughter’s favorite All About Me activity and also probably the easiest one to do. There in minimal reading/writing and there’s a lot of room for coloring and creativity. It’s also great to use as a display since it can be cut out and hung easily.

This is a great craft to do with a group of younger children. After each child finishes they can share or cut and display their banners around the room.

Todo Sobre Mi Posters

I created two options for posters. They are both designed on 8.5 x 11 paper but would look even cooler if you enlarged them and printed on 11 x 17.

The first poster has tons of small prompts. Each rectangle asks for some information about the creator and there is plenty of space for adding small pictures, designs or colors.

The second poster is more mature and would be better for kid who can already write sentences in Spanish. It features a space for a photograph/picture and then has lines where kids can write about themselves.

Todo Sobre Mi Craft

My daughter and I had a really fun time designing and building this craft. The first page is a cutout of a human head and shoulders. We decorated ours to look like me by adding eyes, a face, hair and details to the shirt!

Cutout of a human head and shoulders. The inside of the cutout is blank for decorating. A sign at the bottom of the cutout reads, “Todo Sobre Mi”.
An identical cutout to the first page but this one isn’t blank inside. Inside the shape of the head and shoulders are All About Me prompts. A sign at the bottom of the cutout reads, “Me Llamo….”

The second page has an identical human head and shoulder cutout. This cutout has several prompts written on it for kids to fill out with fun information about themselves. There is space for writing and drawing information about the creator.

After we finished decorating and filling out our person, we cut out the two pages and stapled them together at the top. My daughter loves being able to flip it open to see the writing on the inside!

This would make a great back to school craft that could be easily turned into a classroom display as a way to get to know students.

Todo Sobre Mi Collage

The final All About Me activity is a collage. In the center of the page is a space for a photograph/drawing of the person. Around that photo is blank space with directions for how to make the collage.

Since we don’t have a ton of magazines around the house that we’ve saved, my daughter actually printed and cut real photographs to use for this. She included cutouts of family members and pictures of vacations and places we’ve visited.

In the center of the page there is a blank smart phone which is the space for a photograph/picture. Around the phone is blank space for adding collage photos.
